We are pleased to share that we successfully defended our Client, Unisys Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd., against a copyright revocation petition filed by Firdaus Production Private Limited before the Delhi High Court.

The Petitioner, Firdaus Production Pvt. Ltd., sought to revoke the copyright assignment of a Punjabi film ‘IKKO MIKKE’ starring Satinder Sartaaj, granted in favour of the Respondent, Unisys Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. However, we effectively raised objections on jurisdictional grounds, emphasizing the importance of complying with the exclusive forum clause in the Deed of Assignment.

The High Court, agreeing with our objection that it lacked jurisdiction under the exclusive forum clause, led the Petitioner to withdraw the petition.

This order reinforces the significance of exclusive forum clauses and the strategic impact of jurisdictional challenges in litigation.
